Frequently asked questions

How do custom columns work?

You can visualize custom columns as an extra column that gets added to each line item in your carrier statement.

Using an easy and simple interface, you can define rules for what values those custom columns will take and what options they are able to be set to.

Example:  If the agent is "SCHAEFFER, RICH", then "Team Name" will be set to "Team 1" and "Location" will be set to "New York."

How long does Onboarding and Setup take?

It depends on how many carriers we're setting up and the complexity of those documents.

Typically, we would average 1-2 weeks for every 50 Carrier Streams.

How quickly is new data loaded in?

Typically, new data will be visible in your reports nearly instantly after dropping it into your folder. Larger statements (100,000+ line items) with lots of custom columns can take as long as five minutes. Stateable will notify you when large files are completed.

Carrier Statements sometimes don't have a lot of information. Am I limited to the data inside the statements?

Custom columns are the best way to "Add" on information to your statements.

For example, if you want to group your Sales Agents by Region, Hierarchy, Team Leader, or any other dimension, you can easily create new data points to pivot on and assign these agents to those categories. That way, we can include information and group by categories that aren't necessarily on the statements themselves.

When new statements are loaded in, any custom columns will be automatically updated based on existing data.

My agents have differently formatted names on every statement. Sometimes I only have the Agent's ID. What happens with these?

You can use a custom column to to merge these values together.

Example:  "SCHAEFFER, RICHARD" and "RICHARD SCHAEFFER", "RICH SCHAEFF", and "100021" (Agent ID) will all be grouped together and considered as one agent: "Richard Schaeffer".

Whenever a new statement is uploaded with any of these values for Writing Agent, it will automatically add a column "Agent" set to "Richard Schaeffer".

We have a lot of IT resources at our agency. What is available to us?

We understand that many larger agencies have a lot of internal data structure.

There are many options, including but not limited to:

1. Direct access to hosted, single tenant database
2. GraphQL endpoint for individual queries
3. Scheduled On-Premise replication
4. API endpoints for automated uploads


Can we automate uploading Carrier Statements?

Yes!

We integrate directly with Dropbox, where you can drop in your statements to load into Stateable.

We also have API endpoints for developers to send the files directly.

Will this integrate with my CRM?

Yes!

What kind of business intelligence reports are available?

During onboarding, we will work with you to build BI reports per your specification.

I use Looker/QlikView/Google Data Studio/some other BI Tool instead of PowerBI or Tableau. Will this work with it?

Yes!

Any BI tool will work as long as it is compatible with one of these data sources:

1) GraphQL
2) REST API
